Dream Assembly opens applications for the third program

24 Jul 2019
Farfetch, the leading global technology platform for the luxury fashion industry, has today opened applications for its technology accelerator program, Dream Assembly, now in its third cohort. The startup accelerator program was first launched in April 2018 to provide a cohort of startups access to a program of mentorship, networking opportunities and early-stage funding. Early this year, Dream Assembly also skeed applications for a program focused on sustainability.

Based in Lisbon, the new 7-week program will include a series of workshops, one-to-one sessions with senior leaders from Farfetch and partners, and mentorship meetings covering topics including e-commerce, marketing, technology, fashion, logistics and operations, giving the startups direct access to Farfetch’s expertise in the luxury fashion and technology industries. Starting in October 2019, the program will culminate in a Demo Day in London, where the companies will have the chance to pitch their projects to a selected pool of leading-external investors for follow-on funding, luxury brands and industry leaders. Last year, in its inaugural year, Farfetch welcomed 11 tech-based startups, from 9 different countries. The second Dream Assembly program was focused on sustainability, which welcomed 8 for-profit companies driving social or environmental benefit, including businesses working in the donation, resale and rental spaces, as well as manufacturing.

Now, applications to join Farfetch Dream Assembly’s third cohort are open and will close on 25th August 2019. For this new program, Dream Assembly wants to work with tech-based or tech-enabled teams solving real problems and creating meaningful innovations that are looking for the future of the fashion and retail tech industries
